Start your holiday in style from Delhi visiting the Georgian colonnades of Connaught Place, the elegant Jama Masjid built 350 years ago by Mughals, the Red Fort and Akshardham Temple.

At Agra the extreme beauty and legacy of Taj Mahal perched high above the Yamuna River will take your breath away.

Across the hot desert plains of Rajasthan lies Jaipur, the Pink City. Fairytale palaces and mighty forts gaze out over a busy city of colourful bazaars awash with scarlet turbans and gorgeous saris. Perched high on the serrated ridges of the hills overlooking the city, the Amber Fort looks down on the swirl of life. Enter the fort on elephant back for the true princely experience.

Mumbai - formerly known as Bombay is the Gateway of India to the rest of the world. It is city of glamour and megastars, of a futuristic lifestyle and an amalgamation of the West with the traditional Maharashtrian culture.

The tour package also includes a visit to the UNESCO world heritage sites of Ajanta & Ellora caves which are carved into a hillside rocks.

Day 1: NEW DELHI ARRIVAL

On your arrival at Delhi airport our representative will escort you to the pre booked hotel. Remaining day is free to relax or you can explore the vibrant capital city of India.

Day 2: DELHI- NEW DELHI & OLD DELHI SIGHTSEEING

Meals : Breakfast

After breakfast enjoy a combined city tour of Old and New Delhi, beginning with a visit to the Red Fort. The magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the river Yamuna was built between 1638-1648 when the Mughal Empire was at its peak. The tour continues to Jama Masjid, Asia’s largest mosques. Feel the real flavor of Delhi by shopping at Chandni Chowk and having a ride on rickshaw. Later visit Raj Ghat - the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi - a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation.

In the afternoon we will go on tour of New Delhi & visit the 73 m-high tower of victory -Qutub Minar built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, Akshardham temple, India Gate ,Connaught Place and the Lotus Temple. You will also get a chance to drive past the President's House- Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House and the Government Secretariat Buildings.

Day 3: NEW DELHI TO AGRA JOURNEY- 204 KMS

Meals : Breakfast

After breakfast we will drive to the river side city of Agra, the erstwhile capital of the Mughal Empire. On reaching Agra we will visit the Agra Fort which is an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and stronghold of the Empire under successive generations. Proceed to Itmad-ud-Daulah (‘Baby Taj’), followed by a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his favourite queen, Mumtaz Mahal. 20,000 skilled labourers worked for 12 years (1631-43) to create this mausoleum and memorial.

Day 4: AGRA – JAIPUR WITH FATEHPUR SIKRI 232 KMS

Meals : Breakfast

In the morning we will continue our journey to Fatehpur Sikri ,the political capital of the Mughal Empire for a period of 15 years in the 16th century, Fatehpur Sikri must have been a breathtaking sight to behold - an architecturally harmonious wonderland of palaces, pavilions, public residences, mosques and parks. You may appreciate the original buildings in a stunningly-good state of preservation, along with the palpable mystique of a ‘ghost city’.‘ghost city’.

Later proceed for Jaipur. On reaching Jaipur, check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this vibrant and colourful city which is full of cultural heritage. Jaipur is home to cultural delights and also a shopper’s paradise! Watch artisans produce jewellery, tie-dyed textiles, stone carvings and leather shoes. The main markets are at the Jauhari Bazaar and Badi Chaupar.

Back in Jaipur itself, the splendid City Palace, an engaging fusion of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, the 18th century Jantar Mantar observatory, with its huge stone instruments used to study the movement of the constellations, and a view of the stunning Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), with its instantly recognisable latticed façade, occupy our afternoon.

Day 5: JAIPUR

Meals : Breakfast

Proceed for a tour of Jaipur City and drive up to Amber a honey-coloured fort palace in the Aravalli Hills. Possessing a chamber of mirrors, the interiors are a decorative arts paradise and there are striking views of the gorge.Later head to the serene foothill lake, where the fort is romantically reflected and where elephants are often seen to bathe.

Day 6: JAIPUR - AURANGABAD BY AIR

Meals : Breakfast

After breakfast we will drop you at Jaipur airport. Board your flight for Aurangabad. On reaching Aurangabad our representative will receive you at the airport and will escort you to the hotel. Check in to the hotel and relax.

Day 7: AURANGABAD-AJANTA CAVES-AURANGABAD (100 KMS ONE WAY)

Meals : Breakfast

Enjoy a full day tour to Ajanta Caves nestled in an inner fold of the Sahyadri hills. Sahyadri is about 100 kms from the city of Aurangabad. There are about 30 rock-hewn caves in the shape of a mammoth horseshoe, dating from 2nd century B.C.

A group of British officers discovered these caves in 1819, and found that it took around 600 years to carve these caves with little more than a hammer and chisel. In the evening return back to Aurangabad for night stay.

Day 8: AURANGABAD-ELLORA CAVES-AURANGABAD (30 KMS ONE WAY

Meals : Breakfast

Enjoy a full day tour to Ajanta Caves nestled in an inner fold of the Sahyadri hills. Sahyadri is about 100 kms from the city of Aurangabad. There are about 30 rock-hewn caves in the shape of a mammoth horseshoe, dating from 2nd century B.C.

Day 9: AURANGABAD - MUMBAI (335 KMS APPROX. 6-7 HOURS BY ROAD)

Meals : Breakfast

In the morning after breakfast proceed for Mumbai. On reaching Mumbai, check in to your hotel and freshen up. Later in the evening you can visit The Gateway of India & Prince of Wales Museum built between 1904 and 1914 and which was also used as hospital during World War-1.

Day 10: ELEPHANTA CAVES & DEPARTURE-

Meals : Breakfast

In the morning post breakfast proceed for Gateway of India and then ride by boat for an hour to reach Elephanta Caves which is a World Heritage Site, showcasing legends of Lord Shiva carved in rock cave temples. The cave complex is a collection of shrines, courtyards, inner cells, grand halls and porticos arranged in the splendid symmetry of Indian rock-cut architecture, and filled with exquisite stone sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

Later in the afternoon return back to gateway of India and proceed for Mani Bhavan, Mahatma Gandhi’s home in Mumbai. This little two-storied house is now a small, but engrossing museum which showcases Gandhi's life story in a series of doll tableaus.

Late in the evening we will drop you at the Mumbai airport for your return flight.
